Mechanical rebuild

 

 
Specification (briefly) for this project is as follows:

This E Type is a genuine one owner car that will be mechanically rebuilt (for the original owner) in the CJ Workshops.
 
 

 

Opening report - May 10, 2009

Our first task with this project is to carry out a full engine rebuild. This particular engine has a number of issues, including corroded studs broken off deep inside the engine block and a very warped cylinder head.
Cylinder head is warped and will
need straightening
It will also need an align hone after
being straightened
Pressure testing head - OK

I am pleased to report that your car arrived safely in Austin and the mechanical rebuild will be getting underway in the next few days. I hope you enjoy watching the progress over the coming months.
