Our brief with
this exciting project is simple - build
the most powerful engine ever installed
in a Jensen Interceptor! The car in
question is a 1971 Interceptor Mk III
(140/9017) that belongs to a client in
the United Arab Emirates.
We
will retain and utilize the original,
matching numbers engine block, although
the heads and rotating assembly will
obviously be replaced. Cubic capacity
will remain unchanged at 440 cubic
inches (approximately 7.2L), and power
output will be at least
700HP and 600 ft/lbs of torque. A modern
fuel injection system will feed the
engine, which will retain its stock air
cleaner and Jensen valve covers.
