Main bearings @ 0.010" oversized
Rod bearings @ 0.010" oversized
Front main seal - upgraded to Teflon
Main bearing lock washers upgraded to ARP
New A&E std oil pumpCylinder head:
All new intake and exhaust seats installed (0.005" interference fit)
All new guides
Cyl head cc = 94.1 cc
All new valves
Large (1 7/8") intake valves have seals retro fitted
All new (later style) keepers, split collets and spring retainers on intake side
Valve lash - 0.010" intake, 0.010" exhaust
Tappets are OE (new)
Intake valve stem to guide clearance = 0.014" to 0.015"
Exhaust valve stem to guide clearance = 0.015" to 0.016"
Spring pressure: Closed 105lbs, open at 0.400 lift, 190lbsShim allocation as follows:
(Intake) #1 .101" #2 .107" #3 .107" #4 .101" #5 .105.5" #6 .102"
(Exhaust) #1 .105.5" #2 .106" #3 .111" #4 .096.5" #5 .106" #6 .109"
Head studs:ARP (uprated) torqued to 60 ft/lbs with 30 weight oil on threads. Hylomar on lower threads where studs installed in block at 27 ft/lbs. After initial running, allow to fully cool overnight, then re-torque head nuts to 60 ft/lbs. After 500 to 1,000 miles, re-torque head to 60 ft/lbs.
