1956 Team CJ Jaguar D Type (JS)

This Team CJ Jaguar D Type is being built in the style of the sensational 'long nose' D Types that dominated endurance sports car racing in the mid 1950's.

The car features an aluminum monocoque hand formed over wooden bucks created from original factory drawings. Suspension anchor points are reinforced with steel and the drive train is sourced from a 1966 E Type (which also supplies the titled identity). The engine is being built to Team CJ 4.7L Stage Two specifications, conservatively rated at 380 HP and 435 ft/lbs of torque, on unleaded pump gas. Weighing around 2,000 lbs, the performance will be nothing short of spectacular.

This particular Team CJ D Type will be finished in Ecurie Ecosse Blue with Light Blue hides.
