V12 E Type roadster
Beautiful, low mileage, two owner car |
Sable/Olive Manual, air conditioned car |
This is one of the nicest original V12 E Types that I have ever seen - and I have seen literally hundreds of them! The car was purchased by the current owner from the original owner in 1985. At that time it had been off the road for about five years, having traveled a mere 17,000 miles. Over the next 12 months, the vehicle was returned to first class running order and has been meticulously maintained and used as an occasional, fair weather driver ever since. The actual miles now total 43,500, although it received a new speedometer at 17,000, so it is only showing 26,500 at the time of writing this report. This E Type received a very high quality bare metal repaint in the original Sable colour in 2000. The Olive interior is entirely original and in truly remarkable condition, given its age. The convertible top was replaced recently, as was the dash top. A new stainless steel exhaust has been installed, the suspension has been rebuilt (front and rear) and the cooling system was completely overhauled. This car runs and drives like a two year old E Type - it is a truly superb road car.
Please take the time to review all the photographs below. Let me remind you that this is not a restored car. Having said that, I do not believe you will ever find a better original V12 E Type. I saw a similar spec/condition car sell at the recent (Jan 2004) Barratt Jackson Auction in Phoenix, Arizona for $74,000. I therefore consider this particular car represents an excellent investment at our asking price.
