The last car built by legendary hot rodder Barry Lobeck
This beautiful 1932 Ford 3 window steel bodied coupe is the last '32 ever built by famed Ohio based hot rodder, Barry Lobeck. Lobeck had previously built a well known '32 full-fendered roadster for Austin based car collector, Jeff Scott. In 2009, Scott commissioned Lobeck to build him a steel bodied 3 window '32 coupe, which is the car being offered today.
Unfortunately, Barry Lobeck passed away in 2011 before the car had been completed. Although construction was at an advanced stage, the coupe still required paint and final assembly. In 2012, the car was collected from the Lobeck workshop in Cleveland, Ohio and brought to Austin, Texas. Twomey Auto Works completed the paintwork and final assembly was performed by Richard Wood Customs. In November 2016 the car was displayed at the Sema Show in Las Vegas where it was presented by the Mecum Group as the last '32 built by Barry Lobeck. Over the ensuing four years, the '32 coupe has been driven approximately 1,000 miles and has been well maintained and thoroughly serviced in the Team CJ workshops.
The '32 coupe runs and drives extremely well and is in truly immaculate condition throughout!
