We are proud to offer for sale this truly exceptional Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. Mechanically the car is in superb condition, and drives impeccably. It has recently benefited from extensive mechanical servicing by the renowned Paul Russell & Company. This is a car that instills confidence and feels like it could easily be driven from coast to coast. In point of fact, the previous owner did precisely that when he drove the car from Washington State to the premises of Paul Russell in Massachusetts!

Cosmetically, this Gullwing is extremely presentable. The paint is older and does have some minor flaws, although it still shines brightly and the car shows very well. A perfectionist might consider a high quality repaint, although the car could be used with pride for many years in its current state. The interior is absolutely beautiful, showing just the right amount of patina, and of course the fitted luggage is an extremely desirable option. The chrome, bright work and glass is all in exceptional condition.

The underside is undamaged, very clean, completely rust free, and gives the distinct impression of a very well maintained car. The main front and rear belly pans are included in the sale, although not currently installed. The car does not have its original tools or jack.

This beautiful Gullwing has always been silver with red interior, and the Rudge wheels are an original factory option. The car has an interesting history, including a well known movie producer when new, and more recently it was owned by a baseball legend, known for his love of classic cars.
