This extremely clean, 47,000 mile example has been a daily driver for one of our managers, as well as seeing use as a courtesy car for the CJ service department. We bought the car from the original owner when a valve seat came loose and the engine over heated. We replaced both cylinder heads, upgraded the timing chain tensioner and gave the car a thorough service. Since then, she has not missed a beat and has performed flawlessly. Everything on the car works perfectly.When we first bought the car, it had a lot of unsightly door dings and scratches, so we had our Coachworks department refinish the paint in the original Westminster Blue color. As a result, this is now as clean a ten year old XJ as you are ever likely to find. The interior is truly exceptional, with just a hint of patina on the leather, and all other surfaces looking virtually new. The wood trim is absolutely beautiful in this car.
All the climate controls function as they should, as does the radio and CD changer. Cruise control and sport mode function properly, as do the steering wheel controls. Mechanically, aesthetically and functionally this car is in truly excellent condition. Even the retractable cupholder (a known weak point in these cars) has recently been replaced!
The MICHELIN tires have at least half of their tread life left and a full size spare tire and alloy wheel are included.
These cars represent great value in today's market place, and it is almost impossible to find one with such low miles as this particular car.
We will change the oil and filter for the new owner prior to delivery or collection.
