Team CJ cylinder head rebuild (stock) 

General Notes:

Some welding was required to repair corrosion damage to water jackets. Customer supplied camshafts were marginal, so we provided a good used core set at no charge. Combustion chamber surfaces were smoothed out. Competition (multi-cut) valve job (new valves and seats).

 
Basic specification:

Combustion chamber size - 94cc
All new intake and exhaust seats installed (0.005" interference fit)
All new silicon bronze guides
All new valves
All new cam studs
Cam stud into head - 20 lbs/ft
Cam cap nut torque 15 lbs/ft
All new valve springs
V12 style serrated lock washers
Intake valves have had new seals fitted
Later style keepers, split collets and spring retainers on intake side
Valve lash (0.004" intake, 0.006" exhaust)
Tappets are new (customer supplied)
Camshafts - Stock 3.8 E (OEM)

Valve stem to guide clearance:

Intake: 0.0014 to 0.0015
Exhaust: 0.0015 to 0.0016

Spring pressure:

Closed = 75 lbs
Open (0.40 lift) = 150 lbs

Shim allocation as follows:

(Intake) #1 .092" #2 .100" #3 .098" #4 .103" #5 .95" #6 .90"
(Exhaust) #1 .099" #2 .108" #3 .110" #4 .108" #5 .107" #6 .110"
