We restored this beautiful 1965 E Type roadster in the Team CJ Works between 2002/2004 and it has only seen gentle use since. During the course of the restoration the car was stripped to a bare shell and received new floors, inner and outer sills, door skins, boot floor, engine frames, etc. The coachwork was refinished in Opalescent Silver Blue complimented by dark blue Suffolk & Turley hides. Every singe mechanical component (including the matching number engine) was rebuilt or replaced, and the restoration featured numerous Team CJ performance and reliability upgrades.

Cosmetically, this 1965 E Type still presents extremely well. There are a few minor blemishes in the paint, but the overall condition of the car is truly excellent. I would describe it as being a very high quality driver, and probably even a little nicer than that. The flaws in the paintwork are photographed and described below. The chrome, glass and brightwork remain in superb condition, and the interior looks as if it could have been restored a few months ago. There is absolutely ZERO rust anywhere on this car.

This E Type just received a major ($7,000) service in the Team CJ Works. As well as attending to all the obvious service items, we also installed new Koni shocks all round and a full set of new Michelin tires. This car is now on the button and ready to go. It needs absolutely nothing before it can be enjoyed by its new owner. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car across country.

This car represents a tremendous opportunity at the asking price. It is rare that you have a chance to buy an E Type without any of the usual risk associated with what might be lurking beneath the paint. This car was totally and properly restored and has been well cared for since. It is available today for less than half the cost of the restoration.
