| We are delighted to offer this 1978 Ferrari 512 BB for sale direct from the Team CJ Collection. This example is finished in iconic Rosso Corsa paintwork with Nero leather interior. The majority of the paint is original, and still very presentable. A full paint correction will be performed prior to delivery. The interior is also largely original, although it looks as if the dash may have been professionally redone prior to our ownership.
Currently showing 42,398 kms (about 26,400 miles), which we have no doubt is the original mileage. Before we acquired this beautiful Boxer it had recently received a major service at Ferrari of Vancouver, and has just been freshly serviced in the Team CJ Works. A new and correct set of Michelin XWX tires were installed within the last few months. The car is running and driving perfectly and currently needs nothing. The sale includes the books, tools and jack. The car is equipped with working air conditioning and a Blaupunkt stereo. A total of 2,323 Boxers were produced, comprised of three hundred and eighty seven 365 GT4/BB, nine hundred and twenty nine 512 BB, and one thousand and seven fuel injected 512 BBi versions. No USA market versions were ever made. The name is derived from the 5 liter engine with 12 cylinders, paired with BB for “Berlinetta Boxer”, a reference to the two banks of six cylinders that are in a horizontally opposed layout.
